Ideas for next year!
Ishpatina Ridge Now this is cool. It would allow for me to highpoint Ontario, and get some good canoeing in as well. A classic two-fer. Now to convince the others...

Interesting idea
ESPN.com: Page 2 : Curious Guy: Chuck Klosterman: "It's more fun to argue about sports, but it's more interesting to argue about music. When someone argues about music, you can usually get a remarkably clear portrait of their personality -- you can get an idea of how they view authority, or if they have an adversarial relationship with mainstream culture, or if they are extremely worried about being cool. You can deduce which subcultures they experienced in high school, and you can figure out how much they are engaged with modernity. Of course, the downside is that people who always want to talk about music tend to be profoundly annoying (and often unshaven). Which is probably why it's more fun to talk about sports. "

Fall Colour Report, 9.26
I'm interested by this:
Algonquin Park is progressing very quickly. We have a 35% colour change near the west gate (highway 60) to Algonquin with beautiful pockets of bright red, orange and gold. The colour has advanced near the east gate area to about a 20% change. An ideal viewing location in Algonquin Park is the world class visitor centre. The view from the deck, to the south, is always outstanding but especially nice during the fall. Ragged Falls just off highway 60 outside the west gate to the park also offers an ideal viewing location.because SI and I were there on Saturday (rode the Minnesing bike trail and did two quicky walks incl. Ragged Falls). I would say that next weekend would be spectacular for colour in the Hwy 60 corridor. If I wasn't at a wedding on Saturday, I would almost certainly head up for camping/canoeing/hiking/biking/whatever. Seriously - this weekend (Oct 1 & 2) should be the peak viewing time.

Fall Colours are back
The Soo is apparently halfway changed already - so there'll be no Agawa Canyon for me this year.
So Algonquin Park's Ragged Falls it is. And possibly the Minesing bike trail.
